We've been waiting for it. The next band of moisture is high above SA and heading to the Australian Alps, at this stage the precipitation is likely to fall as snow in the next few days. We need a solid base, and right now the more unpredictable weather systems we receive, the better.

Victorian ski fields can expect mild snow showers this Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. With warmer temperatures early next week we can expect more rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday.

NSW, while experiencing less precipitation should still enjoy a few centimeters this coming weekend.

It may not be enough to open all lifts, but we should make the most of what we've got!
